My background is primarily in metal fabrication, but I’ve started working with composites recently and am really enjoying this. There’s no magic to it, but a bit of a learning curve. People ask me about the fiberglass and the dust, and all I can think to say is that it beats grinding dust and black boogers! Designing some dirtbike parts right now and have been documenting the process, mistakes and all. Take a look

Designed the chassis for this vehicle in SolidWorks and it’s under construction right now at Pacific Fabrication. It’s a based on a late-model Toyota Landcruiser (FJ80), and retains the stock drivetrain, suspension linkage, floorpan and firewall, etc. Click here to check it out (build-thread on pirate4×4 – lots of pics).

Trying to help raise some money for the BlueRibbon Coalition. They’re fighting to keep our trails open, and I’m not trying to lecture anybody, but they need our help. This product giveaway is sponsored by Ron Davis Racing Products and is being hosted by Pirate4×4.com. I hope to be able to get more companies involved, and would like to encourage people to take a look around their homes and garages – what about you? have anything you would be willing to donate or sell to help raise some money for the BRC?

Since I can’t buy a modern XR from Honda, I decided to build my own. Stuffing an air-cooled XR250R engine into a CRF450 chassis. Making a lightweight, super-simple, trials-styled trailbike. Here’s a link to the build-thread on ADVrider.
